I gained degrees in Geology (B Sc, D Phil) which led to an international career in the oil industry. In the early 1980’s, part-time, I studied drawing and sculpture in Perth, Western Australia and, 1998-2000, Portrait & Life Classes in The Hague. Between 1995 and 2002, I completed the Open College of the Arts Painting Course Years 1-5 & their 1-year Understanding Western Art history course.

I paint mainly seascapes, landscapes and abstracts using oils, acrylics and charcoal, mainly on medium to large canvasses. I particularly enjoy abstracting landform to reveal the underlying sculptural structure and movement, be it the rolling chalk downlands of Hampshire and Wiltshire or the mobile, erosional, edge of the Dorset coast. My work is in several private collections in the UK and overseas. I am pleased to discuss “no obligation” commissions.
